2016 Wedding Dress Trends

Every girl fantasizes of wearing the perfect wedding dress on her fairytale wedding day. To walk down the aisle, all eyes on you, admiring your stunning display in white silk and satin, is the stuff dreams are made of. We've all combed through magazine after magazine of brides dresses, feverishly searching for that special, glittering gown. But, there are so many choices, it can be overwhelming. A good place to start is by narrowing it down to just a few upcoming trends, so that you can look not only gorgeous, but FRESH and ON POINT for your wedding. Here are some Spring 2016 wedding dress trends that have been setting the runways abuzz:

3D Floral Applique

Designed to elicit a garden-esque feel, the 3d floral applique trend has been steadily growing over the past few seasons. It made a big splash at the 2016 bridal runway shows, and we can see why. With blooms of Chantilly lace, or beautifully-detailed laser cut patterns, any bride who chooses a floral applique dress will feel like the queen of the garden.

Feathers

Wanting to create the illusion that you are fluttering through the day like a winged wonder on a sunny, picturesque day? Why not go for a feathered look? Feathers were all over the dresses in the latest bridal shows. Whether they are thick and dark on Vera Wang dresses, or soft and sparse on an Amsale, feathers are showing they are here to stay.

Illusion Bodice

If you don't mind a bolder choice, try an illusion bodice. More designers are utilizing sheer fabrics in the bodice area this season to create a more sensual feel for 2016. Some designers even took it a step further and used the sheer fabric throughout the entire dress, and then strategically placed certain embellishments.

Dipped V Neckline

Another fierce, bold trend we've seen this season, is the dramatic, dipped V neckline. This neckline goes lower than a sweetheart neckline, but is not quite as scandalous as a plunging neckline. This way you can show off your elegant femininity without showing too much skin.

Tiered Skirts

The best thing about tiered skirts is their versatility, no matter what bridal dress design you have chosen. From skinny mermaid trumpets, to big tulle gowns, a tiered skirt can give you a luxurious, layered look. We love this beautiful blush pink tiered skirt.

Thigh High Slits

Want a touch of classy, Angelina Jolie-esque sophistication to your wedding gown? Try a dress with a thigh-high slit. Thanks to the black-velvet Versace gown that Angelina Jolie wore to the 2012 Oscars, this trend has been steadily growing over the last few years. The 2016 bridal runway shows were saturated with the look.
